Congratulations on your upcoming nuptials! This is an exciting time in your lives and we look forward to working together with you to make this a special and memorable occasion.
A wedding in one of our churches must be conducted according to the rites of the Anglican Church of Australia and at least one of the couple must be baptised (christened). The wedding must also be conducted by an Anglican priest.
The first step in arranging your wedding in one of our historic churches is to make an appointment to see Fr Evan. Marriage preparation is conducted over a number of visits in the months prior to the wedding, and Fr Evan is trained in the use of the Prepare-Enrich questionnaire to identify areas of strength as well as guiding you through a structured conversation in growth areas of your relationship.
Fr Evan can also work with you to make your special day unique, planning your wedding service with personal touches. All Saints - the older of our two churches - comfortably holds 60 people, while St Mary's can hold up to 150. Each of our churches is set in an attractive rural surrounding, with a historic pioneer cemetery adjacent to the church building. Some rules apply in order to protect the unique historical buildings and environment: for example we ask that furniture is not moved, also that confetti not be used.
You can click here to obtain an application form, and arrange an appointment with Fr Evan. For more information please contact the Parish Office by email or through the contact box on this web page.
Note: Weddings may still be conducted at either of our two historic churches during the COVOD-19 crisis, however numbers are restricted to five people (the couple, two witnesses and the celebrant.
