Fr Evan Pederick has been the full-time Rector at the parish of Swan since        1 February 2019.   Fr Evan was previously the Rector at the Parish of Canning since 2007.

Fr Evan is a member of the Third Order of the Society of St Francis, with a keen interest in Franciscan theology and the environment, having completed a PhD in 2016 which proposed an ecotheological model of the more-than-human ecology based on the theology of the 13th century Franciscan scholar, St Bonaventure. He has taught Christology as part of the MDiv program at Murdoch University, and an ecotheology unit within the Archbishop's Certificate of Theology.

Fr Evan is also passionate about Anglican Eucharistic spirituality and liturgy.  He is available for spiritual direction and is a member of an ecumenical Anglican-Uniting Church team responsible for training supervisors of clergy.

Fr Evan is married to Alison and has two adult sons and five grandchildren. The couple live with two dogs, two cats, and a collection of ducks, chickens and budgerigars.

A biography of Fr Evan by Imre Salusinszky entitled The Hilton Bombing: Evan Pederick and the Ananda Marga, was published in October 2019 (Melbourne University Press). The book details Fr Evan's involvement in the 1978 Hilton bombing as a member of the Hindu-oriented Ananda Marga sect and the events that followed his subsequent confession in 1989.
